KotlinRoomFully Offline

Overview

A complete practice tool for the Life in the UK Test — the examination required for British citizenship by naturalisation and for indefinite leave to remain. All 408 questions are arranged as 17 full 24-question tests, the same shape as the real thing, and every one of them is on the device from the moment you install. No twenty-question teaser, no paywall, no account, and not a single advert.

What it does

Practice mode reveals the correct answer as you go, and timed mode gives you 75 seconds a question when you want to rehearse real conditions. Papers are marked immediately against the official 75% pass threshold — 18 of 24. A weak-areas list builds itself from the questions you keep getting wrong, bookmarks are searchable, and the progress dashboard tracks accuracy, pass rate, tests taken, current and best streak, and your best score on every test. Full light and dark themes.

Technical details

There is no network code in the app at all. It does not hold the INTERNET permission, so Android would refuse a request even if one existed — which is what makes the offline claim a property of the build rather than a promise. The question bank ships as a bundled asset; results, per-question statistics, bookmarks and streaks live in a Room database and DataStore inside the app's own private storage, and Settings → Reset All Progress clears them completely.
