This page is a placeholder, and says so rather than describing an app that does not exist yet. MovieBuzz is still in development: there is no published build, nothing to install, and therefore nothing that is currently collecting, storing or sending any data about anyone.
A complete privacy policy will be published at this address before the app ships, describing the behaviour of the actual release rather than a plan. Until then, treat anything else you may have read here as superseded.
1. What is planned, and why it is not a policy yet
MovieBuzz is designed as a film-discovery app that reads catalogue data — titles, posters, credits and reviews — from a third-party movie database over the network, and keeps your watchlists and searches in a local database on your device.
That is a design intention, not a description of a build. An earlier version of this page stated it as settled fact, which it is not: the app is unbuilt, so no one has verified which libraries it ships with, which permissions it declares, or exactly what its third-party requests carry. Publishing those details as though they had been checked would be the wrong way round, so this page states the position instead.
2. What this means for you today
- There is no MovieBuzz app collecting data about you, because there is no MovieBuzz app.
- Nothing on this website tracks you or requires an account.
- If you find a build of MovieBuzz distributed anywhere, it did not come from us.
3. When this page will change
When MovieBuzz reaches release, this page will be replaced with a full policy in the same form as those for our published apps — stating the package name and version it applies to, every permission the build declares and why, every third-party service it contacts and what that service receives, exactly what is stored and where, and how to delete it. That is the standard the rest of our catalogue is held to, and this app will not ship below it.
